A shoutout to our DV Choir for their outstanding performance at this year’s La Joya I.S.D. Elementary Spring Festival. Students performed to the musical tunes of The Beatles. at La Joya I.S.D. Performing Arts Center, directed by Music Teacher Mr. Juan Elizondo.

2021-2022 DV Student Council Swearing-in Ceremony

Diaz-Villarreal Elementary School newly elected Student Council took its oath and promised to carry out the duties sincerely and diligently. As representatives, they will make an important contribution to our school, and will learn about democracy and government in the process.

On behalf of Diaz-Villarreal Elementary student body and staff, we’d like to thank, La Joya Municipal Judge Alejandro “Alex” Cantu, for acting as our ceremony judge.

⚽️ 🥅 👏 🎉 Congratulations to our Soccer team who qualified for the championship! Our 4th and 5th grade student team tied with Flores Elementary (1-1) and won against Benavides Elementary (2-0), which qualified them for the championship grame against JFK Elementary 3-1. Our students defeated Seguin Elementary 3-2. We are SUPER PROUD of our team! WAY TO GO, DV!!! Congratulations for your great effort and for playing an excellent game. Thanks to our coaches: Coach Ruben Flores and Coach Juan Elizondo! ⚽️ So proud 👏 🎉
