We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success (Library of Congress). To name a few: Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Supreme Court of the U.S.; Cesar Chavez, Migrant Workers Union Leader; Frida Kahlo, painter; Gloria & Emilio Estefan, 2018 Gershwin Prize Winners; Juan Felipe Herrera, U.S. Poet; Celia Cruz, Salsa Singer; and Selena Quintanilla, American Singer & Songwriter. NASA Hispanic Astronauts: Ellen Ochoa (Ph.D.), Joseph M. Acaba, Franklin R. Chang Diaz, Sidney M. Gutierrez, Fernando Caldeiro, Jose M. Hernandez, Serena M. Aunon-Chancellor (M.D.), Carlos L. Noriega, Michael E. Lopez-Alegria, John D. Olivas (Ph.D.), Christopher J. Loria, George D. Zamka.
